Pricing
All prices are listed in EUROS and include TVA. Where prices are listed in any currency other than EUROS this is a currency conversion estimate for your convenience only.
The stay tax (taxe de séjour) is not included in rental rates and is charged at up to 0,77 EUROS per adult per day according to the season. The rental is inclusive of heating, electricity, bathroom towels and bedding. Pool towels are not supplied but can be hired.
Reservation and Payment
All reservations must be accompanied by a credit card number, CVV code and expiry date valid beyond the date of the stay at La Basse-Cour. This card will be debited for your stay.
The schedule for the debit of payment is outlined and will be taken in accordance with your chosen deposit and cancellation policy. This information can be found in your booking confirmation.
In the event where we are unable to process the payment as outlined by the payment schedule, or an invalid card is provided for the reservation, we reserve the right to cancel the booking.
Cancellation
All cancellations are processed in accordance with the cancellation policy chosen by the guest at the point of booking. The chosen cancellation policy can be found in your booking confirmation.
To avoid delay, guests can cancel their reservations online in accordance with their chosen cancellation policy.
Where this is not possible, guests also have the option to request a cancellation directly to the property. The cancellation request must be made in writing by email to info@la-bassecour.com and must be clear and unequivocal. The effective date of the cancellation is the date we receive this written notification. The cancellation will be processed in accordance with the guest chosen cancellation policy.
For bookings made on or after 20 October 2020, we advise you to consider the risk of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and associated government measures. Your chosen cancellation policy will apply, regardless of Coronavirus.
Guest numbers
Reservations are made for a specific number of people, if the number of guests exceeds this number the owner reserves the right to refuse the additional guests or decline the original booking. This is in no way considered a modification or cancellation of the booking on our part and therefore if the guest wishes to depart from the accommodation for this reason no refund will be considered.
Modification
If a guest modifies the reservation, the number of guests, the dates of the stay or the type of room, the price of the reservation is subject to change. If a guest requests a modification, and we are not able to accommodate the modification your booking may be cancelled.
No Show
A “no-show” is regarded as a failure to arrive before 10pm, without notification, on the date reserved. A no-show will be treated as a cancellation we are therefore not obliged to ensure that the accommodation remains available. All guests will be charged for the full duration of the stay in the case of a no-show and no refund will be provided.
Early Departure
All guests will be charged for the full duration of the stay in the case of an early departure- no refund will be provided.
Delayed Arrival
All guests will be charged for the full duration of the stay in the case of a delayed arrival- no refund will be provided. Delayed arrivals must be reported no later than 22H the day of arrival otherwise the “No-Show” policy will apply.
Insurance
It is the responsibility of each guest to ensure that they have adequate travel insurance in place to cover the eventuality of the costs incurred by their cancellation. We are happy to supply written evidence of your reservation and any deposits made should these be requested by your insurance provider.
Smoking Policy
We operate a "No-Smoking" policy and do not allow smoking inside any of our buildings. Guests wishing to smoke should do so outside in designated areas only.
Check-in/Check-out
Check-in is between 4PM and 8PM on the day of arrival.
Guests are requested to provide an estimated arrival time and we request that if you are delayed en-route that you let us know by phone/text
Departure is by 10AM on the day of departure.
Arrivals or departures outside of these times require prior agreement and cannot be guaranteed. Where a guest checks-out late without prior agreement a late check-out fee may be incurred.
Outdoor Swimming Pool and Communal Areas
The swimming pool and communal areas are private and for guests staying at the Basse-Cour only. The pool is open in summer season May-September (except during bad weather and in exceptional cases where essential maintenance must be carried out)
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No drinking glass or bottles to be used around the pool.
Security Deposit:
A fully refundable security deposit of 150 € is required in addition to the balance of the rent. The security deposit is required in case of unusual costs that may be incurred as a result of the guest’s stay. In order to facilitate this, this will be automatically pre-authorised 24 hours prior to the guest arrival date via the credit/debit card given at the time of booking. This will not debit the funds from your account but place a temporary hold on the funds.
The pre-authorisation will be held on the guest credit card during the stay and will be released within a maximum period of 7 working days after the departure of the guest, by the owner providing there are no deductions required to cover any damage, loss, smoking charges, or exceptional cleaning costs incurred.
In the event of damage or loss the deposit will be returned minus the replacement costs. If the security deposit amount does not cover the total cost of the damage or loss or the deposit is insufficient, the guest agrees to make up the sum to the total of the invoices furnished by the owner.
In the event of soiling of the bedspreads, mattresses, or bedding, a cleaning fee of 50€ will be deducted for the laundry costs. If the stains/soiling cannot be removed, the degraded items will be invoiced to the client at the cost of new.
A cleaning fee of 50€ will be deducted in the event where the gite is left excessively soiled on departure and we have to undertake additional cleaning services over and above what is considered normal.
Smoking is not permitted inside any gite or building at the Basse-Cour. If this provision is breached a minimum charge of 100€ will be deducted from the security deposit for the costs of cleaning, redecoration, and/or fumigation.
The security deposit shall not be taken as part payment of the rent.
Internet
Wi-Fi is provided free of charge.
Due to the rural location of the properties, there may occasionally be some internet outages - we cannot accept any responsibility for loss or lack of a stable internet connection. However, every effort will be made to ensure full services are maintained.
Very occasionally the connection is reset by the provider and can be down for some time. If this occurs, then the Owners shall accept no liability as this is beyond their control.
We reserve the right to disconnect the WIFI is there are storms to prevent the modem from being damaged.
Guest Responsibility
The guest agrees to occupy the rented property in a peaceful manner and to use it according to its intended purpose. The guest undertakes, in particular, to comply with the number of occupants permitted and declared. The guest agrees not to cause any disturbance to the neighbourhood (noise, odours, smoke, etc.). The guest undertakes to return the property in a clean condition and not to modify the arrangement of any furniture, and ensure the BBQ is safely extinguished after every use and cleaned before departure.
Guests are required to report any breakages or missing items to the owners. Guests are required to replace or pay for furniture or other items which are lost or damaged. (Guests will not normally be charged for minor damage or breakages.)
The guest may not sublet the property, nor transfer the rights, in whole or in part, to any third party, unless the guest has obtained written consent, subject to the rental agreement being revoked.
General
Parties, events and pets are not permitted at the La Basse-Cour.
